Is Nosht free?
Nosht is not free, but it is affordable. Pricing starts at £9.99/month. Both plans include full access to all templates, Bulletproof Mode compliance prompts, and unlimited notes. Every plan includes a 3-day free trial (card required).
Does Nosht store patient data?
Your clinical notes contain no patient identifiers — you select structured clinical options and copy the finished note into your practice management system, where the patient record lives. There are two exceptions, both optional: the Referral Letter template, where you choose to enter patient details (name and date of birth, with NHS number, address and contact optional); and Send Leaflet, which processes a patient's email address or mobile number solely to deliver a patient information leaflet. Nosht does store the notes and drafts you save, plus your account details and template preferences, encrypted and held in London, UK. What practice management systems does Nosht work with?
Nosht works with every practice management system. Completed notes are copied to your clipboard with one click and pasted into Dentally, SOE Exact, R4 (Carestream) or any other PMS. There is no technical integration required — it works like copying and pasting text.
Is Nosht GDPR-aligned?
Yes. Nosht is built by Nosht Limited, a UK-registered company (Company No. 17061341). It is GDPR-aligned by design: your clinical notes contain no patient identifiers — only clinical descriptors you copy into your own practice management system, where the patient record is held. The exceptions are referral letters (patient name and date of birth), the referral tracker (patient initials and optional short notes) and sending a leaflet (the patient’s email or phone number); please do not enter patient names, dates of birth or NHS numbers into the tracker’s notes. The account data Nosht holds about you (name, email) is processed under legitimate interest and contract bases.
How is Nosht different from AI dental notes apps?
Nosht is not a voice scribe — it does not record or transcribe audio. It does offer optional, clinician-reviewed AI: type shorthand and Anthropic Claude Haiku 4.5 fills the structured template fields, which you check before saving. Most AI dental apps transcribe voice recordings; Nosht keeps you selecting and confirming structured options. The AI receives only the text it works on; an automated check blocks common identifier formats, but it cannot catch everything, so don't type patient names or other identifiers.
