Why “no recording” matters
Most new note-taking tools are ambient AI scribes: they listen to the appointment and turn a recording of the consultation into a draft note. That means audio of your patients is captured and processed — and with it, patient identifiers, consent questions and a transcript you then have to read back and correct.
Nosht takes the opposite approach. There is no microphone and nothing is recorded. You keep control of exactly what goes in the note, and the record you paste into your PMS contains only clinical descriptors — never a raw transcript.

Does Nosht use any AI at all?
Yes — but not a scribe. Nosht’s optional AI (Anthropic Claude Haiku 4.5) fills the structured fields from your typed shorthand and runs an advisory completeness check on the note you have written. There is no audio and no recording; you review and confirm every field before it is saved, and the structured templates work entirely without AI if you prefer.

Does Nosht store patient data?

There are two exceptions, both optional: the Referral Letter template, where you choose to enter patient details (name and date of birth, with NHS number, address and contact optional); and Send Leaflet, which processes a patient's email address or mobile number solely to deliver a patient information leaflet. Nosht does store the notes and drafts you save, plus your account details and template preferences, encrypted and held in London, UK.
